Smart at Art

I overheard a conversation between two of my primary students today, maybe 2nd graders, I can't remember for sure, after I had showed one of them how to do something.

"Wow, she's really smart."

"Yeah, she's smart at art!"

I promise the point is not to brag about myself here... I was just so excited that the students were seeing art as a way to be smart! They obviously think that the kids who are good at math and reading are smart; it was nice to hear them considering less traditional ways of showing intelligence. Young Gardners!
