One day a student came up to me with a Crayola watercolor pencil, telling me there was something wrong with it. It looked fine to me until the student pointed out the labeled color. It says blue... but this is clearly a red colored pencil! Have you ever seen something like this? The only stranger thing I've seen with art supplies was the time I took a brand new Ticonderoga pencil out of the box to sharpen, only to find that the graphite was missing! It was just the wood shaft with a hollow center!
What's the strangest thing you've found with your art supplies?
Ha ha. That's funny. The only problems I've had were dried out model magic and crumbling air dry clay. Nothing funny like yours.
ReplyDeleteI once got a class pack of Crayola markers, and a couple of the so-called violet markers had absolutely NO ink in them. The tips were totally pure white, and the kids were befuddled when they opened them to use. How did that happen?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have the funny labeling error than the issues you two had! Hopefully the companies made it right. :)
ReplyDeleteI bought an electric pencil sharpener, from a company brand I had a great deal of suceess with in the past. However, the new model sharpened a total of ONE pencil before completely breaking. It's all junk anymore I tell ya!
