When the Holton Community Hospital remodeled, the dining room lost their window. So when I was asked to paint a mural in that location, they wanted a Kansas landscape. I took a photo of a farm not too far from my home and that was the starting point. I added in a few more wildflowers for more color.
I was able to complete the 8 x 13 foot mural in a week.
The barn seems to be everyone's favorite detail of the mural!
I hope that the hospital employees will be able to enjoy the painting for years to come and that it gives them a peaceful scene to look at when taking a break on a stressful day.
