I think I will wait till spring and bring the kids out side for something like this :) <br />thanks so much for sharing.Mizz D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01183897590266473073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592492505091408673.post-35930766534563799292011-07-09T07:59:57.425-05:002011-07-09T07:59:57.425-05:00The only time we had a little mess was when the st...The only time we had a little mess was when the students tried to help clean up the sand by sweeping it with their hands. I asked them to dump the excess off their paper back into the sand cups but to leave the sand that fell on the table. I picked up a cheap little dustpan and brush just for sand so I could sweep the extra sand up off the tables. It works much better than hands. Then I just gave the students wet wipes to wipe their hands then their spot on the table. We actually didn't have any really messy messes!Katie Morrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10056783451407075827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592492505091408673.post-46347888985245290132011-07-09T07:52:11.810-05:002011-07-09T07:52:11.810-05:00These are pretty cool. I might give it a try with one group at a time -- maybe working outside on our patio. The potential for mess SCARES ME!!! Did you have any issues?Christie - Fine Lineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10418114130566362780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592492505091408673.post-50692738498815875712011-07-08T04:19:08.318-05:002011-07-08T04:19:08.318-05:00I especially like the barking dog! Thanks for reminding me - might give this a try.Anne Farrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01176711200424225567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592492505091408673.post-63729301103148086242011-07-07T22:17:27.612-05:002011-07-07T22:17:27.612-05:00Katie, these are very cool.

We put some in the bottom of tennis ball containers for weight. Then we added features to make tikis and covered w/papier-mache and painted and embellished. The sand makes them so they don't tip over and you are right, it is really CHEAP!!Phylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482775924810462890noreply@blogger.com
